Worms is a series whose history is not exactly the a great one. The transition of Worms from 2D to 3D was an interesting experiment, but it ultimately failed to garner interest or be as polished as the 2D Worms games. Team 17 took note of this, and began remaking their old Worms games for the Xbox Live platform. Worms HD and Worms 2: Armageddon are some of the best multiplayer games on the system, but the plain fact is that these games are based on ones that existed long before on another platform. In fact, with Worms 2: Armageddon coming out on PC through Steam, we figured it would be a good time to reflect on quite possibly the best artillery game ever made. Worms Armageddon is that game, and it still stands the test of time as being the best of the series.
