Last official day to download Windows 7 beta

If you have yet to download the beta version of Microsoft's Windows 7 beta version, you had better have a fast broadband connection. Today is the final day that Microsoft plans to offer the download from their servers. They will be shut off at 11:59 pm PT today. If you start downloading the beta but don't finish it Microsoft will give you until 9 am PT on Thursday to complete it.

This will be the only beta release for Microsoft's newest Windows version; the next free version will likely be a release candidate build. People can still register to use their beta version of Windows 7 after the download deadline has passed.

Windows 7 beta download deadline extended again

Microsoft's beta release of their upcoming Windows 7 OS suffered through some issues at first as tons of people wanted to download the file. Microsoft extended the inital deadline until, well, today. However on Friday Microsoft officially announced that they were pushing back the deadline yet again.

On the official Windows 7 blog site the announcement was made that the final deadline to download the beta will now be February 10. So you still have over two weeks to decided whether or not you want to take the risk to install the OS on your PC. The beta expires in August and Windows 7 itself is currently speculated to be released sometime before the end of the year.
