DC Universe Online gets Wil Wheaton to voice Robin

He's a geek god and not just because he played a child super genius on Star Trek The Next Generation. Actor Wil Wheaton has made a career of embracing his inner geek and in the upcoming MMO DC Universe Online he will do so again by voicing Robin The Boy Wonder.

Publisher Sony Online Interactive announced this week that other voice actors will contribute their talents to the game. Arleen Sorkin will voice Harley Quinn, the Joker's best girl and the role that Sorkin helped to create for Batman: The Animated Series. Also, Dwight Schultz', veteran voice over actor and "Howling Mad" Murdock on the original A-Team TV series, will voice The Flash in the game.

PAX East to have Wil Wheaton as first keynote speaker

As we get ever so closer to the launch of PAX East, the Boston gaming event is beginning to announce its many plans for activities for March 26-28. PAX organizers have now announced that a familiar face will give the keynote speech at the inaugural PAX East event. It's none other than Wesley Crusher himself, actor and geek icon Wil Wheaton.

Wheaton is no stranger to the Penny Arcade team or PAX. He also conducted the keynote speech at the 2007 PAX in Seattle. So will three years make him mellow or will there be a geek fury to his address? If you want to find out, well, time is running out. PAX East had sold out of its three day tickets and now Saturday tickets are all gone, according to the PAX East web site.
