Warrior Epic adds new content

True Games Interactive continues to add new content to its free-to-play fantasy MMO Warrior Epic. Today the developer/publisher announced its major new update to the game that includes a new boss fight against the creature you can see in the screenshot above, the Megafauna (sounds like a Godzilla enemy, doesn't it?). The boss is designed to be fought by teams and its defeat will result in new and powerful items being dropped.

The game has also added a number of new items that can be bought with its in-game currency. The game's targeting system has also been improved, a new tutorial has been added and a new objective-based PvP gameplay mode has been included.

Warrior Epic: Battlegrounds officially launches

After about a month of beta testing. True Games Interactive has now officially launched Battlegrounds, their first big expansion to their free-to-play MMO Warrior Epic. As we have reported on previously Battlegrouds adds new content to the game including four new Player Vs. Player maps, a new hub city, a new swamp region and more.

Again this expansion also represents the first content for the game created by True Games' own internal studio in Beijing, China. True Games took over the development of the title from its original creative team at Possibility Space after the game was launched earlier this year.

Warrior Epic: Battlegrounds launches open beta test

Fans of the free-to-play fantasy MMO Warrior Epic now have a chance to expand their horizons. The game's publisher True Games Interactive has announced that the game's first major expansion, Warrior Epic: Battlegrounds, has now launched its open beta test. The expansion will add a ton of new content to the game including four new PvP maps, a new hub city, a new swamp region to explore and more.

The expansion is being developed by True Games Interactive's newly launched development studio in Beijing, China who will be in charge of supporting and expanding Warrior Epic from now on. The game's original developer, Possibility Space, is no longer involved in Warrior Epic's development.

True Games Interactive launches internal dev studio

While some game studios are contracting, others are expanding. One example of the latter is True Games Interactive. Today the free-to-play game publisher announced plans to launch their own internally based development studio in Austin, Texas. The studio will work on an all new title and will be headed up by Frank Lucero who worked on the now shut down MMO Shadowbane. The company is currently hiring people at their official web site.

Earlier this year, True Games Interactive launched their first game, a free-to-play online MMO called Warrior Epic that was developed by Possibility Space. In 2010 they are expected to launch Mytheon, another free-to-play title that combines RPG and strategy elements. That game is being developed by Petroglyph.
