E3 08: Warhammer: Battle March trailer

Featured on Xbox360Fanboy, the trailer for Warhammer: Battle March is pretty self explanatory - factions fight to the death. Releasing in two flavors, as an expansion pack for Warhammer: Mark of Chaos on the PC and as a retail console release, Battle March continues the real-time strategy Warhammer storyline. Published by Bandai Namco the upcoming release will hopefully add some juice to the experience which at this point is as dry as the paint on our pewter miniatures....

Warhammer Online adds Punkbuster, subtracts four Capital Cities

MMORPG.com has posted part two of their interview with Mythic Entertainment's Mark Jacobs, VP and General Manager of the development studio. In the interview, Jacobs reveals that Mythic has partnered with Punkbuster to crack down on the cheaters expected to inhabit Warhammer Online's servers."We think this is a huge win for the players," Jacobs said in regards to the partnership. "We are an RvR-centric game and anything that gives a player an advantage over another player in an RvR-centric game is a very bad thing. We take this stuff incredibly seriously, our history shows that. We wanted, by doing this deal with Punkbuster, to show the players that we're willing to go an extra step for them."Jacobs also confessed that Warhammer Online's reported six capital cities has been downsized to two in the interest of fun gameplay. "We decided to focus our energies on two capital cities; one for Order and one for Destruction, and make them fabulous, said Jacobs. "Not good, not great, but fabulous. We wanted to make our Capital Cities the best cities in any MMO. We think we're doing that, but it came at a price and that price is that the other cities aren't going in the game right now."Visit MMORPG.com to read the full interview....

New screenshots for Warhammer Mark of Chaos: Battle March

Namco Bandai is mostly a console game publisher but they do release the occasional PC game. The company held a recent press event to show off their upcoming titles and one of those games just happened to be Warhammer Mark of Chaos: Battle March, an upcoming expansion pack to the 2006 released fantasy RTS title.Developed once again by Black Hole Games and based of course on the Games Workshop war game series, the expansion will add new units, factions and an all new single player campaign to the original Mark of Chaos title. The new screenshots released by Namco Bandai show off the graphical goodness of the expansion which apparently includes units that ride upon walking dragon-lizard things. You can't go too wrong with walking dragon-lizard things. Expect Warhammer Mark of Chaos Battle March to be released in September alongside the Xbox 360 Warhammer Battle March game (which will contain the original title and the expansion's content)....
