As we mentioned would happen on Monday in our regular weekly games feature, the first episode of Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures has now been released via Telltale Games's web site. The first chapter, Fright of the Bumblebees, is being released with a special deal; for this week only you can get the game and the three future chapters for $29.95, a $5 discount.

In addition Telltale is offering up a 50 percent discount on anything else being sold in Telltale's online store when you order the $29.95 Wallace and Gromit series (the actual discount is put into the checkout). The last full week in March brings a number of major PC retail and downloadable titles down the pike along with a big downloadable expansion:
Stormrise - The Creative Assembly releases this original sci-fi RTS game for publisher Sega featuring battles on a future Earth between technological and biological-themed factions. If you just have Windows XP and DirectX9 installed, you can ignore this game; it's one of the very few that's a Windows Vista-DirectX10 exclusive.

This demo is for Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, a new monthly episodic game series developed by TellTale games based on the animated movies about an inventor and his dog. The demo includes a brief tutorial and parts from the first episode, Fright of the Bumblebees. Those that pre-order the four-episode season will receive a 25% discount in addition to two free games - one from the Sam & Max adventure series, the other from the Strong Bad series. This trailer marks the debut of the new Wallace & Gromit Grand Adventures series developed by TellTale Games. The new game series includes four episodes, each releasing monthly, except the first installment "Fright of the Bumblebees" will be releasing on March 24th instead of in April. If you have been waiting for release date news for Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures, wonder no more. Telltale Games' latest episodic series is getting ready for its launch and now the developer has announced a March 24 release date for the first of the four planned chapters of the series.

That's not all, You can expect to see a demo of the first chapter, titled Fright of the Bumblebees, to be released this Monday. And if you order now you will be able to get the entire four part series for $26 rather than it's normal $34.95 price. Oh, and did we mention you get two free full chapters from Telltale's library of episodic games if you pre-order early? I guess we just did.

Several months ago Telltale Games announced they were launching a third episodic game series in Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures sometime in 2009. Today the developer revealed that the game, based on the award winning series from Aardman Animation, would finally launch sometime this spring for the PC.

The developer has also released five new screenshots from the game which we have added to our gallery. Telltale has still not revealed too much in terms of gameplay details yet but with a "spring" release planned that info, along with the number of episodes and a price for each downloadable chapter, can't be far off.

Telltale Games' latest episodic game, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, has just concluded its five chapter run but the developer is already working on their next episodic game. This week they released the first in-game screenshots from the title, Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures.

Based on the Oscar-winning animated creations from Aardman Animation, Telltale's game will allow players to play as both the human inventor Wallace and his trusted dog Gromit. That's pretty much all we know about the game itself (other than it will be released sometime in 2009) but Telltale promises more info will be revealed in the new year.

Telltale Games reveals a first look at its new upcoming series of upcoming episodic games, Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures. The trailer doesn't show much besides the fact that the series will be based on the successful British animated series that features a whacky inventor and his extremely intelligent dog. Although we can't tell what gameplay will be like, or what kind of of adventure the two will find themselves in, the art style and humor is very faithful to the series.Telltale has yet to reveal a release date for the game series.
