It's the weekend and also six days until a bunch of us eat until it hurts. MMMM...turkey.

• It's finally out: the 1.1 beta patch for Elemental has been released via Impulse.
• This week's Mutation gameplay mode for Left 4 Dead 2 is a repeat of Gib Fest.
• There are lots of bug patch updates today on Steam including Lead and Gold, Left 4 Dead 2, Twin Sector, Killing Floor, the open beta of Men of War Assault Squad. Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike Source, Day of Defeat Source, and Half-Life 2 Deathmatch,
• A new indie-themed game download portal, Show Me The Games, is now available.
• The official Breach web site now lists all of the weapons that will be featured in the upcoming game.
• Heroes of Newerth has introduced a new hero character, Moraxus.
• It's another mysterious bar code teasing us about BioWare's next game.
• Most of us, for better or for worse, would not be playing PC games without Microsoft's Windows OS. This week is its 25th anniversary.

The first week of December sees several retail and downloadable PC games and expansions make their way to store shelves and download services:

Dirt 2 - While the console versions of Codemasters' rally racer were released last September, the PC version that comes out this week has the distinction of being the first PC game released in the US that has DirectX11-supported graphics out of the box.

The pace of new PC game releases has slowed with many titles this week making their US debut exclusively via download:

Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter: Croteam steps up with this graphical revamp of their 2001 released first person shooter. Now you can see giant bulls and headless men with bombs charging at you with lots more polygons via Croteam's Serious Engine 3. This game is a Steam download exclusive.

This is the playable demo for Twin Sector, an action adventure game loaded with physics puzzles. The official trailer and system requirements can be seen after the jump.

"Twin Sector takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where the remains of mankind have been put to artificial sleep in cryogenic chambers deep under the contaminated surface of earth – until the planet becomes habitable again. You as the player must take the role of Ashley Simms, the protagonist of Twin Sector. Suddenly awakened by the stations security A.I. system O.S.C.A.R., you face the imminent extinction of all other still sleeping survivors due to an unknown failure in the life support system. According to O.S.C.A.R., you are the only person who was able to be woken and therefore the only individual capable of saving mankind. Within the next ten hours you will need to repair the broken main generator of the subterranean bunker system in order to reestablish the station's functionality. But there are yet unknown forces trying to prevent you from succeeding at all costs!"
