Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters revealed

Sometimes when you do some random surfing on the internet you never know what you might find. In our case our surfing revealed a previously unknown fighting action game, Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters, from publisher Evolved Games. The modern military flying game is being developer by Trickstar Games, an Australian-based company made up of former team members of the defunct Transmission Games who previous made two WWII based flying action games (Heroes over the Pacific and Heroes Over Europe)

This new title seems to be a mix of flight sim and action game that takes place in the fictional Middle Eastern country of Azbaristan (yeah its pretty corny) with 16 missions and 30 real licensed military fighters. Look for multiplayer support for up to 16 players and a co-op mode for up to four players. It's due out sometime this summer. You can check out a trailer for the game after the jump:

Trickstar rises from Transmission's ashes

Last fall, Australia-based Transmission Games ceased operations. The long running game development company had released two game just prior to its shut down including the WWII flying action game Heroes over Europe. Now a number of Transmission's former team members have gotten up, brushed themselves off and started all over again with a new development studio.

The new company is Trickstar Games and it has just launched their new web site. Unfortunately there's little info on what the new studio is working on although it does say it has "a number of exciting new games in production." With the PC as one of their platforms we hope that the company will be announcing some PC games in the near future.
