In 2007, we believed a car could transform into a robot with the release of the first Michael Bay-directed Transformers movie. At the same time Activision released a game adaptation that was the typical movie-to-game product; completely forgettable and designed mostly as marketing for the movie.

Now IGN has the first word and the first screenshots from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the upcoming game that adapts the sequel film of the same name. Due out around the time of the film in late June Activision got its internal Beenox Studios team to handle the PC version. Unlike the first Activision Transformers game, this new title will add online multiplayer modes. That should at least add some more replay value.
