GameTap's latest update to their PC game subscription service is a timely one. It's Trackmania United Forever, the racing-puzzle game from French developer Nadeo.Now people who subscribe to GameTap's premium service can download and play the game as much as they want. The game also supports being run on 64-bit operating systems. GameTap recently revealed plans to add more support for 64-bit games in the coming weeks. Nadeo recently announced plans to release Trackmania 2 and a few days ago Ubisoft announced they would be acquiring Nadeo.

Also this week, the action title Total Overdose continues to be available in GameTap's free subscription service tier until October 22.

Who says PC game sales have to be this weekend only? Not Valve's Steam service. They are breaking in a new 50 percent off sale on Trackmania United Forever, the racing-puzzle game from French developer Nadeo. From now until August 10 you can buy the full game for $19.99 as opposed to its normal Steam price of $39.99.

In related news Steam has also dropped the price permanently on the recent Ubisoft RTS game Tom Clancy's EndWar. If you haven't picked up this near-future military themed game (with voice control) you can do so now at Steam for the lower price of $29.99.

These two patches update TrackMania United Forever and TrackMania Nations Forever. This minor updates fix issues introduced by the last patch.

Next in Steam's line of weekend sales is developer Nadeo's Trackmania United Forever, which the site describes as "the most entertaining car racing game ever." Hyperbole aside, Trackmania United Forever does feature a bevy of modes and options for racing fans, such as four unique single-player modes, seven vehicle types, a graphical update for certain environments, and solo- and team-based multiplayer modes. The price reduction drops the game from $39.99 to $19.99.

In order to provide a taste of what Trackmania United Forever has to offer, Big Download hosts the free Trackmania Nations Forever. With 65 tracks and a Stadium environment, Trackmania Nations Forever should provide enough to warrant a purchase of United Forever for those players still on the fence about opening their wallets.

Trackmania has almost always had a free game to bloster its sales by showing people how fun the little racer could be. With Trackmania United, it was Trackmania Nations. With Trackmania United Forever, it is Trackmania Nations Forever. As previously promised earlier this month, developer Nadeo and publisher Focus Home Interactive have now released the free full racing-puzzle game Trackmania Nations Forever for PC owners. Download links for the full game can be found at Focus's web site. The new game has all of the content of the original Trackmania Nations along with will a new solo mode, 65 new tracks and what they are calling the "Forever" version of their Stadium environment.

If you bought the retail version of Trackmania United you are now able to download a free expansion that will be online compatible with Nations Forever as well as some extra content including a graphics update as well as new tracks and design blocks.
