With the Dragon Age: Origins Toolset, users can create custom adventures for Dragon Age. The toolset can only be installed on a machine that has the full Dragon Age: Origins game installed. The EclipseRay Lightmapper Source Code is an optional add-on.

Dragon Age: Origins trailer reveals the power of its mod toolset

BioWare famously included a very powerful set of mod tools in Neverwinter Nights, making for an unprecedented degree of control over creating custom content for the game. It looks like that trend will continue with Dragon Age: Origins. Mod makers will have access to every aspect of the game, including voice overs and visual effects. The community will be able to put its creative skills to work when the game releases on November 3rd.

Video explains the Dragon Age: Origins Toolset

This presentation was shown at PAX 2008, showing off the many features found in the Dragon Age: Origins Toolset. The video is a little bit heady, but provides a wealth of information for modders and campaign builders to tell the stories they want. Dragon Age: Origins is currently expected to release early 2009.
