The Theatre of War RTS series has had two installments (plus expansion packs) both of which were set in World War II. Now the third installment is ready to move out and into another war theatre. 1C Company announced that Theatre of War 3 Korea has gone gold and will be available to download on March 24.'

The game will feature two single player campaigns; one for the North Korea side and one for the US faction and both set in 1950 with highly realistic units and battles. The game will be made available for download via Steam. You can also get it from Battlefront.com via download and in a boxed copy via mail order for $35.

Earlier today we reported that 1C Company had hooked up with Aspyr to distribute a number of their upcoming PC game titles. Today we got word that one of their older games, the WWII RTS title Theatre of War, now has a new mission pack available for purchase and download via Battlefront.com.

The $25 mission pack for the game (which is also available via mail order) adds a new full single player campaign to Theatre of War (The Liberation of Belorussia, 1944), another shorter three map mini-campaign (Strategic Breakthrough, 1940) and four multiplayer maps. if you order the mail-order DVD disk version it will also include the latest Theatre of War patch which adds yet another new campaign, a Random Battle Generator and more. We are still awaiting word on when the game's full sequel, Theatre of War II, will be released.
