Borderlands on sale at Amazon.com with two DLC expansions for free

It may be a holiday here in the US (it's also a bank holiday in the UK) but that doesn't mean you can't save some money while you enjoy your day off. Amazon.com has you covered with a very nice deal for Borderlands, the 2009 released first person shooter-RPG combo game from Gearbox Software.

The game itself is on sale for $27.99 which is $2 off its normal price. So what? So the folks at Amazon.com have sweetened the deal even more with adding the Borderlands Double Game Add-On Pack for free with your order. That's two DLC expansions (The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned and Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot), a $19.95 value, for the cost of nothing. There's no word on how long this deal will last so we suggest jumping on it now if you haven't bought Borderlands or the two DLC expansions before now.

First two Borderlands mini-expansions to be sold in retail stores

While Gearbox Software may have already announced their third downloadable mini-expansion for Borderlands, there may be some of you, for whatever reason, that are scared of this new flagled thing call the internet. Downloading things just doesn't sound natural to you. Thankfully, Borderlands' publisher 2K Games has you covered if you still want to try out the game's debut DLC products.

GameSpot is showing on their web site that on February 23 2K Games will release the first two downloadable mini-expansions for Gearbox's first person shooter as a retail product. The expansions, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, will be available together for the price of $19.99. And if you really are in fear of downloading things that are not viruses, see a doctor.

PC port of Borderlands DLC Zombie Island of Dr. Ned now available

PC gamers have had to wait to get The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, the first planned downloadable mini-expansion for Gearbox Software's hit shooter game Borderlands. Today, the PC owners of the game can now purchase and download the expansion for $9.99.

People who have the retail version of the game can head right now to the Gearbox Software online store web site to grab the expansion which adds several hours of gameplay (and zombies) to Borderlands. Steam owners of the game have their own section to purchase and download the title. There's no word yet if the Direct2Drive version will require a separate download as well.
