These three trailers, shown at GDC 2009, reveal gameplay for Aion at practically every level. Activities range from day-to-day adventuring and cooking to PvP battles and participating in large-scale raids. The first video is shown above and the other two can be viewed after the jump.

This video for Aion: The Tower of Eternity provides an early tour of Ishalgen, located in the Asmodae half of the broken world. The fantasy themed MMO is currently in beta.

"The island of Ishalgen is a fragment of Asmodae, slowly being pulled apart by several warring factions. The Ulgorn Bandits have established themselves quite comfortably within the Aldelle Village, claiming both the breathtaking Lake Tunapre as well as the mysterious Munihele Forest as their own. Tensions run high within the Odella Plantation, where the fierce Gray Mane Mau have enslaved the Dundun Skurvs to cultivate Odella. Suspicious by nature, the Ulgorn Bandits have found themselves with even more to worry about, as a strange ship carrying unfamiliar faces has recently shown up along the Anturoon Coast. The Ishalgen Prison Camp with its seething hordes of undead remains one of the few uncontested regions of the island, although it is rumored to harbor a powerful secret."

This new zone tour video for Aion: The Tower of Eternity takes us through an area called Poeta.

"Poeta, a lush island in Elysea, is home to farmers and villagers who attempt to live in peace beside the beautiful Cliona Lake. They cull their wood carefully from among the trees of Daminu Forest, in accordance with the ancient agreement they have with the Elim, the tree-people who live there.

However, their peace has been disrupted of late by an influx of Krall, a violent species of sentient humanoids who have harried the Elyos for centuries on behalf of their draconic masters. Now, they are commanding their Kobold slaves to cut down trees and dig up huge swaths of ground in the Kabarah Strip Mine in search of the mysterious ore Odium. "

This video takes viewers through a brief tour of Altgard, a zone featured in the upcoming MMORPG, Aion: The Tower of Eternity.

"Altgard is a place of extremes, from the Altgard Ice Lake, where the Archon Daevas defend the beautiful Altgard Fortress, which juts out of the ice like a bizarre skeleton, to the lush Moslan Forest, teeming with life. But throughout the region, a clear, brittle light is given by the strange phosphorescent plants that have evolved over the centuries since the Cataclysm."

This video for Aion: The Tower of Eternity takes viewers on a tour through a zone called Verteron.

"Verteron is a land of abundance. From the Tolbas Forest to Zumion Canyon to the Cantas Coast, it teems with many species of wildlife. All this is threatened by the contamination that has spread from the Altar of the Crimson Dragon, a place that the Krall still use to worship their Balaur overlords, creatures who haven't been seen in Atreia for many hundreds of years."
