Unlike previous games in the series. The Sims Medieval is being designed to let players create hero characters and have them go on quests such as protecting the kingdom from evil forces. Players can even give hero character fatal flaws and have them do more domestic chores like caring for a baby or trading in town. The game will be released for both PC and Mac in the spring of 2011.

The Sims 3 to drive into the Fast Lane Stuff

Playing The Sims 3 sometimes make you wonder if these virtual people have any real excitement in their virtual lives. And by "excitement" in that department we really mean more to do than just hang around. Now Electronic Arts has announced plans to rev up the Sims 3 engine again in a new expansion pack: The Sims 3: Fast Lane Stuff.

The expansion, due out this fall, is all about matching your ride to your character. You can go with the Intrigue option that can tun your ride and yourself into a super-spy.You can also turn to the racing option or be a big shot billionaire. There's even an option to turn your ride, your location and yourself into a 1950s'scene. Now all we need is the 'tute to pull it off.

Is The Sims about to get "medieval"?

Electronic Arts has just shipped out The Sims 3 Ambitions, the second expansion pack for the third iteration of the mega selling people sim series. But is EA about to take the Sims series in a completely different direction. A clue might be found in some recently discovered URL registrations.

Found by mega-trademarking discovery site superannuation, the sites addresses registered by EA all seem to suggest that a Sims game with a medieval setting might be in the works, or at least being considered enough that EA wanted to secure the URL addresses before someone else did. Might we see an announcement at E3? Stay tuned.

As an added note, since this is The Sims, shouldn't this video be called Whoo-Hoo and the City?
