This Week In PC Games: April 19-25

There's just one stand alone game due out this week, and it's a small downloadable title. However two downloadable expansions are also due out this week: one for the space-based MMO EVE Online (Tyrannis) and one for the zombie shooter Left 4 Dead 2 (The Passing).

The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom: After debuting on the Xbox 360 earlier this year, publisher 2K Games releases this unusual downloadable puzzle-action game from developers The Odd Gentlemen. Available as a Steam download exclusive, this PC version has five extra puzzles to solve along with Steam achievements, leaderboards and more as players use temporal abilities.to solve puzzles.

P.B. Winterbottom coming to PC via Steam April 20

We had already pedicted that this game was coming to the PC based on its ESRB listing a few weeks ago but today 2K Games announced that their Xbox Live Arcade downloadable title The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom will indeed be coming to our platform. The title from developer The Odd Gentlemen is being ported by 2K China for the PC and will be released via Steam on April 20 for the price of $4.99.

In addition to adding Steamworks features like achievements, leaderboards and the Steam Cloud game save service, the PC port will contain five extra puzzles to solve. The game itself lets you control the pie-stealing title character through various puzzles in a illustrative art style.

Is P.B. Winterbottom coming to the PC?

Last August 2K Games announced that the unique looking downloadable puzzle game The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom would be released in February for Xbox Live Arcade. But is this promising game also coming to the PC platform. After checking the current ESRB data base on their web site, we've discovered evidence that might say, "Yep."

The game, developed by The Odd Gentlemen, is listed as a Windows PC game in addition to the Xbox 360 on the ESRB web site. It's possible that the Xbox Live Arcade version is a timed exclusive and that the PC port will be released sometime later. We have emailed 2K Games to get a comment on the ESRB listing.
