Test Drive Unlimited 2 puts you up for the night

More Test Drive Unlimited 2 trailers! This one in particular shows the player housing, which makes a return from the first game. it's nothing too fancy, being mostly decoration and such. The houses are very pretty by driving game standards, but not all that great to us. After all, many other games have done a better job of portraying player housing. Granted, such games revolved around actual on-foot mechanics, so it's understandable. In short, there's nothing really on show in this trailer. Just another place to sink your hard-earned cash into as you win race after race in Test Drive Unlimited 2.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 trailer explores tropical racing

As far as trailer go, you can't really get much more standard than this Test Drive Unlimited 2 video. It acts mostly as a way to hype up the world, and it does a fairly effective job. After all, those are some pretty stunning car models, textures, and landscapes. Still, it's completely devoid of gameplay content, and the main draw is how the music (by Deadmau5) fits into the cinematography. If you want something to bedazzle your eyes and ears, this s a good trailer, but for something a little more meaty and interesting, you're better off watching previous trailers.

First trailer for Test Drive Unlimted 2 released

The upcoming release of Test Drive Unlimited 2 was first announced earlier this year and we actually are looking forward to seeing how this open world-based driving game both looks and plays. Now the first trailer for the Eden Studios-developed game has been released and so far it doesn't look too shabby at all.

That's all well and good, but wow; that music that's been put into the trailer is horrible. Seriously; it's like the worst techno track merged with the second worst techno track we have ever heard. But we still want to play this game when it comes out sometime this fall.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 announced

After releasing two big MMO games in Champions Online and Star Trek Online, publisher Atari heads back to more familiar ground for its next big release, Test Drive Unlimited 2. The racing simulation with a persistent online element is heading back to gamers with the previous game's developer Eden Games also coming back to work on the sequel.

The new game will still have an offline single player mode but the emphasis once again is on the persistent online world that gamers can race in with their super sports cars. The sequel will have new elements such as weather, vehicle damage and day and night cycles. At the moment the game is set for release sometime this fall.
