The in-game universe of Star Wars: The Old Republic continues to be revealed on the upcoming MMO's official web site. Today the site had some info and screenshots of Taris, the latest planet to get its own spotlight for the BioWare developed title. Unlike many of the pristine planets in the Star Wars universe, Taris looks ruined and run down by comparison.

Indeed the planet got caught in the middle of a fight between a Jedi Knight and a Sith Lord in the past that killed off Taris's civilization. The Republic is trying to reclaim and colonize the planet but it looks like there's an issue; a plague created by the Sith can turn people in rakglouls, monsters that are rumored to have special abilities. Hmmm..sounds like some Force-powered zombies to us.
