DC Universe Online trailer pushes player control

Looking for your next superhero fix? Champions Online or City of Heroes not giving you the action or hero power you want? DC Universe Online aims to fix that. As the trailer above shows, players will be able to choose between good and evil in the perpetual conflict between the two sides, and customize their characters and powers. The biggest draw, naturally, is the "star power" of the DC Universe characters, as they are what set this title apart from other superhero MMOs on the market, and the trailer certainly affirms that!

Big Versus: City of Heroes/Champions Online

With the release of Cryptic's new MMO, Champions Online, there are now two superhero MMOs on the market. The first is Cryptic's old game, City of Heroes (now under the direction of Paragon Studios under NCsoft), and the distinctions between the two are very striking. If you don't have the money to throw down on subscriptions to both games, though, you probably want to choose just one. That's where we come in. We've played both Champions Online and City of Heroes extensively, and here's a comparison for what you want. Do you prefer character customization or content? We know the right game for your tastes.

All You Need To Know: Batman: Arkham Asylum

Welcome to All You Need To Know, a new feature here on Big Download. Games that are coming out soon have a lot of unknowns that the average person might not know. Who is this character inspired by? Is all the talk of volumetric fog or cel-shaded graphics really worthwhile? Do the game mechanics really seem solid, or are they lackluster? In All You Need To Know we provide information to help you fully appreciate what these upcoming games have to offer.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is chugging on towards gaming greatness, with the highest critic score since Marvel vs Capcom 2 was released, a Guinness World Record under the belt, and a great commercial reception to boot. While console gamers are enjoying all their awesome Batman-related butt-kicking, however, us PC gamers have to wait a little while longer. So maybe it'd be a good idea to explore some of Batman's roots and all the hype before we sink our teeth into this no-doubt delicious game. Maybe you'll walk away with some knowledge of the Caped Crusader that you'd never had before.
