Strong Bad game coming to the Mac soon-ish

It's only been recently that developer Telltale Games has offered its titles for the Mac platform. Today the company announced that it is going back and porting one of its older games, Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People, to Apple's machines (it's also coming to the PS3 on December 21).

Yes, Mac players will get the pleasure of encountering Strong Bad and other members of the wacky Homestar Runner web animated series in playable adventure game form with five episodes to try out. The game was first released for the PC and the Wii consoles over two years ago. There's no word yet on a specific release date nor pricing for the Mac port.

Poker Night At The Inventory to unlock special in-game Team Fortress 2 items

Telltale Games' quirky crossover game Pokter Night At The Inventory won't be just for casual game players. The upcoming poker title that features characters from four different game and game-related universes will also allow players to gain special in-game items for Valve's multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2.

Just pre-ordering the game will get the player a poker visor for TF2 that can be worn by The Heavy. In addition playing the game itself will unlock other special items for other Team Fortress 2 characters including a timepiece from Tycho (Penny Arcade), the luger from Max (Sam and Max), and shutter shades from Strong Bad (Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People). Telltale's crossover game Poker Night at The Inventory revealed

The mysterious new Telltale Games title that was teased over the weekend now has a name. It's Poker Night at The Inventory and it does indeed feature characters from four different game and game-related universes: The Heavy (Team Fortress 2), Tycho (Penny Arcade), Max (Sam and Max), and Strong Bad (Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People).

At the moment there's not a lot of info on what kind of poker or gameplay features the title will have but there's little to complain about in terms of the price. Telltale and Steam are both taking pre-orders for the game for a mere $4.95. You will also get a 25 percent coupon when you pre-order that can be used on most of Telltale's other products. The game itself is due for release later this fall.

Telltale Games sneaks in sale of Sam and Max, Strong Bad and more.

The San Diego Comic-Con may be over but a previously unknown Comic-Con related sale over at Telltale Games is still going on as we speak. The downloadable game maker has put several of its recent and older titles on the price chopping block but because we didn't know about it until just now you may only have a few more hours to take atvantage of it.

The current season of Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse is on sale for $24.95 and the one shot game Puzzle Agent is on sale for $8.96. Sam and Max Season One and Two are on sale for just $9.95 each and the entire season of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is available at the rock bottom price of $4.95. In addition a number of Telltale merchanice are also on sale.

Rumor: Telltale prepping to launch games on Mac?

Mac gamers continue to get the short end of the stick in terms of getting native ports of PC games. However, Mac gamers could be getting a ton of PC titles very soon. According to the Maclife.com site, Telltale Games will announce plans to bring most of their episodic adventure games to the Mac platform at next month's MacWorld Expo.

According to the article, the first games from the Telltale game library will be their successful Tales of Monkey Island with their other episodic series to be released on the Mac later on in the year. Our sister site Joystiq contacted Telltale for comment and was told the story was "totally unconfirmed."

Telltale releases free Strong Bad game for Trogday

Telltale Games puts entire store on sale for 25 percent off


In this netherverse between Christmas and New Year's Day many retail stores are getting rid of excess inventory and doing some winter cleaning of their shelves to prepare for the new year. It looks like Telltale Games is doing something similar with their online store.

This week Telltale is cleaning their decks and giving customers a big 25 percent off their entire order from their online store. That includes downloads of their games like Sam and Max, (their their "season" is due in 2010) Wallace and Gromit and Tales of Monkey Island along with DVD collections of their games, CD soundtracks, toys and other items.


Telltale Games to reveal new title at E3


As we mentioned earlier today, Telltale Games turns five years old this week and the game development studio made up of former LucasArts adventure game developers has been highly successful with its series of downloadable episodic adventure games. It's released two "seasons" of Sam and Max, plus a season of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. Right now they are in the middle of its Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures series. Telltale states they have sold over one million PC game episodes since their launch.

While Telltale is running a new promotion designed to get new people to try out their games, they also revealed that a new game announcement will be made at this year's E3 event. There's no word yet on if the game will be a return to a past series or an all new game.

Telltale Games turns 5 years old with 50 percent off Steam sale
