Metal Gear Solid Rising showcases ridiculously deep cuts

Enjoy cutting things? Enjoy environmental destruction? Metal Gear Solid Rising has got you covered. You can cut anything and everything (with the presumed exception of obstacles necessary to keep you on the path), and the cuts are clean and precise. This is similar to Afro Samurai, although it pushes it a bit further. Of more important note is that this is the first Metal Gear Solid game to come to the PC since the first game!

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood trailer shows the power of teamwork

The new Assassin's Creed game, Brotherhood, is shaping up to be more impressive with each passing day. With a focus on cooperative gameplay and competitive multiplayer, it looks to break free of the lone wolf style of the previous games. This is only accentuated by the latest teaser trailer, which shows Ezio Auditore (the protagonist from the second game) and his buddies attacking the Pope. It's just a cinematic, but it's still quite impressive!

Freeware Friday: Merry Gear Solid 2

Welcome to Freeware Friday, a weekly column showcasing excellent games that you can play free of charge!

Two years ago, there was a particularly funny and well-made holiday game called Merry Gear Solid. It was short but sweet, and the developer decided to go the distance with the sequel. Merry Gear Solid 2 is the sequel, and it is one of the best parodies of the Metal Gear franchise we've seen yet. Hilarious and fun, it only has a few minor problems that hold it back from being even better than the games it is satirizing. It's a must play, especially during the holiday season when the nature of its absurdity is best conveyed.
