Starcraft 2 Guide: Protoss Power

The Protoss are the bruisers of Starcraft 2 with their expensive and hard-hitting units. They tend to be slow, but once they get going, it's a nightmare for the opponent. They've got a lot of utility powers (arguably more than any other race) and reward excellent micromanagement. Thus, many of the strategies that most players choose for Protoss revolve around these two strengths. This isn't to say they don't have any weaknesses, though. Here are just a few of the most common strategies of the moment for Protoss.

Starcraft 2 Guide: Terran It Up

The Terrans are the primary race of Starcraft 2, and it shows. In the single-player campaign, they get access to tons of units that they don't in multiplayer, whereas the Zerg and Protoss have only a few single-player exclusive units. It is also a common complaint on the Blizzard forums that the Terrans are overpowered compared to the rest of the races. While we certainly don't think this is true, the Terrans are significantly easier to pick up and play than the other two races, and lend themselves well to a wide variety of strategies.

Staraft 2 Guide: Back to Basics

So you've bought Starcraft 2 and you've decided to delve into the rather considerable multiplayer component. However, you are getting stomped flat over and over by players that seem to get better units in a quicker time frame than you. Sounds like you need some education on the basics of Starcraft 2. While Starcraft 2 is hardly a casual strategy game, it's basics are easy and simple to learn, and the de-emphasizing of micromanagement of units has made it much more newbie friendly! No more worries of getting steamrolled at 3 minutes into the game.
