LucasArts game sales week begins on Steam

Steam sometimes devotes an entire week to sales for one publisher and this week the PC game download site is doing just that for its library of titles from publisher LucasArts. From now until September 19, all 13 Star Wars-themed games on Steam will be bundled and sold together for the low price of $49.99. That's compared to a price of $145.38 if you purchased each game separately.

Also one LucasArts game will gets a big price cut every day. From now until 1 pm Eastern time on Tuesday you can get Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition for just $7.50, a 75 percent price cut. Of course the game's upcoming sequel, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, is due to be released in late October.

This Week In PC Games: November 2-8

After a massive amount of new games last week, things settle down just a bi for this week. However this week also includes a game which could get some Game of the Year nods before 2009 concludes

Dragon Age: Origins: BioWare's return to a straight fantasy RPG has been long awaited by PC fans and this week they get their wish in this massive single player title. The game will come with some downloadable content, including an all new quest, for free for the first copies of the game to be sold.

Hardware requirements revealed for PC Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Last year, when LucasArts released the console version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the publisher claimed the game couldn't be released on the PC because the system requirements would be too high. That was disproven earlier this summer when LucasArts announced (shocker) a PC port of the game.

Now the PC version's developer, Aspyr Media, has revealed the PC system requirements for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition. As we have reported before, the PC version will have all of the content of the original console game plus some extra missions. You can check out the system specs after the jump:

This Week In PC Games: October 19 - 25

This week gamers can be a evil Sith apprentice, a ruthless dictator and other roles in two retail releases and three downloadable titles.

Tropico 3: Publisher Kalypso Media revives this sim game franchise that was first started by 2K Games. Developer Haemimont Games created this third title in the series which puts the player in charge of an island nation. Will you be the typical island tyrant or a more benevolent leader? As usual there are pros and cons to both choices.

The Force Unleashed trailer let's the dark side run wild

Some might say this is a little overdue, but The Force Unleashed will be making its way to both the PC and Mac this holiday. However, it will come in the form of "The Ultimate Sith Edition," which includes all the content from the original console game plus three extra bonus missions. In one of the extra missions, the story is re-imagined to see what would happen if Darth Vader's secret apprentice actually turned against him and took his place at the Emperor's side. Another pits the apprentice against Luke Skywalker and other iconic Star Wars characters to see where the story would go if the dark side won. Star Wars fans will be able to unleash their inner dark sides this holiday.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition coming to PC and Mac

LucasArts said they would have some special announcements at their San Diego Comic-Con panel and boy, were they right. Today they revealed that they will be releasing a PC and Mac version of 2008's best selling action game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed in a new "Ultimate Sith Edition". This new version will contain all of the content of the original console game plus three all new missions that continue the storyline of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice.

This new version, which will be co-published by Aspyr Media sometime this fall., will also contain new costumes for the game's lead character the Secret Apprentice. It will also have new character models that will give players a chance to control classic Star Wars characters like Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku, Jango Fett and C-3PO. You can check out the decriptions of the three new missions, two of which are set in an alternate Star Wars Infinities timeline, after the jump.
