It's the third day of Steam's week long sale of games from publisher LucasArts. Today the PC game download site has slashed the price of Star Wars Empire at War Gold, the RTS title from developer Petroglyph. You can get both the original game and its expansion pack Forces of Corruption from now until 1 pm Eastern time on Thursday for just $5, a 75 percent savings from its normal price.

Don't forget that Steam also still has a collection of 13 Star Wars-themed games on sale from now until Sunday for just $49.99 compared to a price of over $150 if all those games were bought separately.

One of the last PC exclusive games published by LucasArts was the RTS title Star Wars: Empire at War. Today that 2006 title is finally available via download from Steam. The game, the first developed by Las Vegas-based Petroglyph, is now available in its Gold Edition which contains both the main game and its expansion pack, Forces of Corruption.

The title combined both space battles and land skirmishes along with a Galactic Conquest mode that allowed the player to capture and control planets for money, resources and special bonuses that can be used in the game's RTS battles.

With this week's announcement that LucasArts's classic PC game line-up would begin to be offered via Steam, many of our readers may not have played some of the truly terrific titles that were developed and/or published by the company that George Lucas himself founded.

We decided to go back and pick what we think are the top 10 best PC games made by LucasArts over the years. All of these games are worth getting and two of them will be available to download via Steam on Wednesday with the rest (hopefully) following suite in the weeks and months ahead. Since all of these games are great we couldn't really decided which ones were better than the others so we put them in order of their release.
