Star Trek D-A-C now available for Mac download

The circle is now complete for Star Trek D-A-C. The arcade style space shooter based on the new movie revival of the sci-fi franchise is now available for purchase and download for the Mac platform via the Greentree web site. The game, originally developed by Naked Sky Entertainment, is a pretty cheap $9.99 purchase.

The Mac version was developed by Transgaming and contains all of the content that was contained in the PC port that was released last month via Steam. In addition to a single player campaign the title has multiplayer support for four different gameplay modes (Survival, Team Deathmatch, Conquest and Assault).

Star Trek D-A-C's PC release moved up to November 12

A few days ago we reported that the PC version of Star Trek D-A-C would finally be released via Steam on November 17, the same day as the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the Star Trek movie revival. Well, it looks like gamers will get their Trek gaming goodness a few days earlier than planned. The Steam pre-order page has changed the release date. It's now showing a November 12 date for the game to be made available for download.

Pricing for the PC port has still not been revealed on the Steam web site. The top down space shooter from developer Naked Sky Entertainment is scheduled to have a number of extras not available in the first Xbox 360 version.

Star Trek D-A-C finally coming to the PC in November

The downloadable game tie-in to last May's terrific movie Star Trek revival was previously an Xbox 360 exclusive but this November the game will finally appear on the PC. Paramount announced today that the top-down space shooter game Star Trek D-A-C will be released for the PC via Steam with some new content added for your pleasure.

Developed by Naked Sky Entertainment, the PC version will add two new ship classes (the Missile Corvette and the Support Frigate), a new Assault mode map and a new Survival game mode where you have to fight against waves of ships to rack up the best time. The PC version will also add support for Nvidia's 3D Vision technology. Pricing for the PC version was not announced.
