The original Kane and Lynch used Games For Windows Live for things like achievements and auto-updating

This is the second time a major PC game title or port has switched from Games For Windows Live to Steamworks for its second installment. Bethesda Softworks announced earlier this year that Fallout: New Vegas would use Steamworks after using Games For Windows Live for Fallout 3.

Fan of the "sneaker shooter" Thief series were happy to learn in May 2009 that a fourth installment in the franchise was officially in the works. However it looks like the game is still too early in development to be shown at E3 2010 in two weeks. According to Connected Consoles, the word from developer Eidos Montreal is that Thief 4 won't be making an appearance at the event.

Obviously all the attention for this year will be given to Eidos Montreal's first game, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which will be shown for the first time in playable form at E3 2010.
