Shipping this week: Adorable Knight

Everyone excited for Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway? Great! Too bad PC gamers have to wait for it. While the World War II shooter hits consoles this week the PC version isn't finding its way to stores until early-October. Need something to tie you over in the meantime? Luckily, Barbie: Eye For Style is landing this week!

Has anyone ever stopped to think that everyone says PC gaming is dying because they release such drivel on a regular basis? Those of you looking for a real game this week can pick-up LEGO Batman. Sure, it's a lighthearted approach to the Batman franchise but it offers a few laughs and enough fan service to fill a BatCave. Seriously, the BatCave is in it too. Also, it's always a plus when you don't need to hear Christian Bale groan as The Bat. Let's face it, he seriously sounds like he needs a lozenge.

Shipping this week: Cya, social life!

Last year gamers complained that there were too many great games made available during the fall season they could barely keep up; this year is going to be much worse. As the cold front from a faded summer takes over gamers are already being treated with piles of games to add to their collection.

MMO fans are eager to get their hands on with Mythic Entertainment's Warhammer Online, which ships on September 18. Shooter fans, itching for more content in two favorites, are welcomed to land copies of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (September 15) and Crysis Warhead (September 16). Even fans of bad licensed titles are looking forward to Hell's Kitchen. Alright you caught us, no one is looking forward to a game based on Hell's Kitchen. But this post just seemed stronger with a fourth example.

Shipping this week: Mmmm, pie charts

With E3 grinding to a halt we enter a strange time of light news and even lighter releases. Publishers usually take this time to focus on developing new marketing strategies for their Triple-A titles or correcting issues spread throughout those games. Basically, nothing really gets released into stores the week after E3 because people are still reeling from the 'OMG-megatons' dropped during the show.

One particular release this week is for the pie and flow chart baseball crowd -- it's Baseball Mogul 2009. Strategize from behind the desk of a GM to create a strong championship competitor while maintaining the ever growing demand of ballpark franks. Also, as it often happens with PC releases, a few notable delays from previous shipping weeks have come up.

Shipping this week: Guns v. Glowing Arms

This week the Capcom love keeps rolling in with the PC release of Devil May Cry 4. Previously released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, DMC4 follows the story of new character, Nero, and his powerful demonic arm. We know what you're thinking, when did Devil May Cry go realistic?! Well, luckily Dante and his famous duo pistols are returning to bring the series back to its roots. On the other side of the fence is Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice to cure that mystery-adventure itch. While the week might seem a little light on releases, Devil May Cry 4 is sure to excite some gamers. We just hope this port is better than Resident Evil 4, you know, the one without an option to exit!

Shipping this week: Cue tumbleweeds!

Alert. Do not stop playing your current games. Do not attempt to get dressed in hopes of picking up the week's hot new releases. Do not adjust your internet. This week PC gamers have nothing to look forward to as only a handful of bargain basement titles are hitting the platform. As E3 inches closer, most releases are being saved until after the event. There are a few throw away releases for the PC, but mentioning them as relevant even as a joke could get us in trouble! If you'd like to brave the list, jump in and take a look.

Shipping this week: Alone with the glow of a monitor

Hitting store shelves this week is the return of Edward Carnby in Alone in the Dark from Atari (aka Infogrames) and the Alaskan fishing simulator we've all been dreaming about, Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm. Arguably the one-two shot gamers need this summer to stave off the hot days until E3 rolls around, this week also features the addictive puzzler Roogoo and Ikea branded furnishings for your Sim characters.

While we've all grown used to random Sim related releases that sear branding into our beloved social simulator, one can't help to pray Spore sees a release soon so The Sims 3 can move to the top of Maxis' development chart. That way we can visit neighboring Sims and kick-up our feet in their lovely Wal-Mart furnished two-bedroom starter home.

Shipping this week: Hulk Smash!

While releases this week are lighter than usual, a smashing new title is hitting PC (we get paid per lame joke here apparently). Based on the new film surrounding the popular Marvel character, The Incredible Hulk hits PC on Tuesday as well as the rest of the week's releases that include the first downloadable episode of GameCock's film noir style action adventure game, Insecticide and a free content expansion for EVE Online. Like we said, a little light on releases but there's enough to hold you over until EA releases the Spore Creature Pack early next week. Until then, you step on a building as a giant green anger management dropout.

Shipping this week: Truckload of fun

This week for PC releases the truck has come to town. With titles like Race Driver: GRID and Lego Indiana Jones hitting stores, there's something for everyone. Launching along side their console versions, GRID and Lego Indy are just two of the handful of releases hitting this week.

With so many recent PC releases also breathing life on consoles, we scoff at anyone who says PC gaming is dead. Dead? If it was dead would we have Kung Fu Panda hitting shelves this week too? Yeah, that's right. Put that opinion to rest right now! Wait, probably not the best example.

Shipping this week: Mass Re-release

In what could be considered the definitive version of Mass Effect, PC gamers will now have the ability to explore a galaxy of possibilities from the genius-Canucks at BioWare with the anticipated PC version of the best-selling Xbox 360 title. Updated from the original console release is a brand new tactical HUD, graphical improvements and a code to download the first content pack, available to Xbox 360 owners, for free.

Also shipping this week, in an epic list of re-releases, is the platinum edition of Lost Planet from Capcom. Lost Planet Extreme Condition: Colonies Edition adds new maps and modes to the established subzero multiplayer gameplay, including the ability to play as the enemy Akrid.

While we're happy to get two more solid PC titles this week, it would be nice if we could have some fresh content instead of console seconds. Seriously, we're not as jaded as we sound!

Shipping this week: MMOh, Conan!

If consoles are becoming a battleground of shooters, PC releases are fighting the war with an abundance of MMO titles.

This week brings us Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures from developer Funcom and publisher Edios Interactive. Promising over-the-top action and gore, Age of Conan looks to grab a piece of the lucrative online gaming space.

Also dropping this week is the first game based on the popular Penny Arcade license from Vancouver based Hothead Games. Episode One drops digitally via Play Green House and promises a solid 10ish-hour experience.

Full list of releases for the week ending May 24, including dates and links to stories for each title, available after the jump.
