Ubisoft puts more PC games on sale today along with mysterious t-shirt

Ubisoft is continuing to put some downloadable PC games on the price chopping block this weekend. Today at the publisher's online store front it has the PC port of the recent "sort of a movie game but not really" Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands on sale for just $5, a 75 percent savings. Also on sale is Shawn White Skateboarding. The sports game, released just a month ago, is on sale in PC download form for just $9.99 at the online store.

Meanwhile the Ubiworkshop.com web site continues its mysterious ways with a t-shirt that has an image of a previously unseen character. The site doesn't specify where the characters is from but you can buy the t-shirt for $20. The shirt will be limited and will only be sold until December 6.

Shawn White Skateboarding coming to the PC this fall

Fresh off his Olympic gold medal win in snowboarding, Shawn White's next game project for publisher Ubisoft will be a . . . skateboarding game? Yep, that's what the game publisher announced this week as the extreme sports star and wearer of a fine hair style will put his name to Shawn White Skateboarding sometime this fall for the PC and other platforms.

Other than the above logo there are no images to check out from the game yet, which is being developed by Ubisoft's always busy Montreal dev studio. The game will certainly compete with Activision's long running Tony Hawk skateboarding series which was once a sales powerhouse but has since fallen off in popularity in the last few years.

Mac gamers wanting more native games for their systems may be getting a break thanks to publisher Ubisoft and TransGaming. Today the two companies announced an agreement to use TransGaming's Cider software to port a number of Ubisoft titles to run on Macs.

These ports will also ship out in March.
