If you love classic and new adventure games and also want to contribute something to society, Telltale Games has a deal for you. Today the developer launched The Great Adventure Game Bundle 2010 where you can purchase six game title for just $19.95. The games included in the bundle are The Whispered World, Jack Keane, King's Quest Collection (with three games in the King's Quest series) and Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode 1.

In addition to the cheap price Telltale will give 25 percent of the proceeds from the bundle to five different charities (Child's Play, The World Wildlife Fund, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Nyota e.V., and the Electronic Frontier Foundation). Telltale's crossover game Poker Night at The Inventory revealed

The mysterious new Telltale Games title that was teased over the weekend now has a name. It's Poker Night at The Inventory and it does indeed feature characters from four different game and game-related universes: The Heavy (Team Fortress 2), Tycho (Penny Arcade), Max (Sam and Max), and Strong Bad (Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People).

At the moment there's not a lot of info on what kind of poker or gameplay features the title will have but there's little to complain about in terms of the price. Telltale and Steam are both taking pre-orders for the game for a mere $4.95. You will also get a 25 percent coupon when you pre-order that can be used on most of Telltale's other products. The game itself is due for release later this fall.

This Week In PC Games: August 30-September 5

This week, leading up to both PAX Prime and the Labor Day weekend, represents a bit of a lull in new PC game releases. However starting next week we should have lots of new titles coming out every week until sometime in late November-early December as the traditional fall/holiday flood of games begins. In the meantime we get two adventure games, both of which were made by former team members from LucasArts.

Sam and Max: The City That Dares Not Sleep: The fifth and final chapter of the third season (also known as The Devil's Playhouse) of adventure games from developer Telltale Games is due to be released via download later today. Will there be lots of wackiness? We sure hope so.

Team Fortress 2-Penny Arcade-Sam and Max-Strong Bad crossover teased

We've seen some minor game crossovers in the past but apparently something is coming from Telltale Games that, well, could be (and we emphasize COULD) one of the biggest game crossover events ever. GameTrailers has posted up a teaser trailer that, as you can see from the screenshot, seems to show the silhouettes of Tycho from Penny Arcade, Max of Sam and Max, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner and the Heavy player character from Team Fortress 2.

So what in the wild, wild world of sports is this teasing us for? Is it for an upcoming game? Is it for a comic strip? Is it for an animation project? We have no idea but from the teaser video it looks like more info is coming on Thursday, September 2. Color us confused, intrigued and excited. You can check out the embedded trailer after the jump:

And now the fifth and final chapter of The Devil's Playhouse is close at hand. Telltale has announced that the finale, The City That Dare Not Sleep, will be released on Monday, August 30.

Fourth episode of Sam and Max The Devil's Playhouse released

It's the middle of the month and that usually means there's a new Sam and Max game episode to check out. Fortunately, developer Telltale Games doesn't disappoint as the fourth episode of the current season of the adventure game series is now available to download.

The fourth episode of The Devil's Playground season is titled Beyond the Alley of the Dolls. It's a bit of a different tale as our loyal dog and rabbit members of the freelance police find themselves barricaded in a ramshackle diner as they try to avoid an army of zombie-like canine clones. But is there something else going on behind the scenes? With just one episode remaining in the season, expect things to come to a head here.

Next Sam and Max episode (They Stole Max's Brain!) due June 22

While developer Telltale Games may be doing big time licensed games like Back to the Future and Jurassic Park in the near future they are still working on their tried and true titles. This week the developer announced that the third episode in the current "season" of Sam and Max: The Devil's Playground will be released on June 22.

This chapter is titled "They Stole Max's Brain!" and yes, Max's brain does indeed go missing so its up to Sam to find it. As you can see Sam is determined to find Max's brain, even if he has to shoot anyone and everyone to do it.
