Hollywood screenwriter to be story director for Wheel of Time games
It's been a little while since there's been any news on the upcoming games based on the late Robert Jordan's fantasy novel series The Wheel of Time. Today, however, the word from the game's development studio Red Eagle Games is that they have secured a Hollywood screenwriter to help guide the writing for the game projects.
Chris Morgan, who co-wrote the scripts for movies The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast and Furious and Wanted, will join the company with the title of Story Director. Morgan states that he is "a massive fan of The Wheel of Time series, and a lifelong gamer" so perhaps this merging of Hollywood and gaming could actually work.
As we have reported before Red Eagle Games is developing The Wheel of Time as both a series of stand alone games for the PC and other platforms as well as an MMO title. Electronic Arts signed on earlier this year to distribute the games.
