Razer releases non-limited edition version of DeathAdder Black gaming PC mouse

Back in December 2010, the gaming PC mouse maker Razer gave a special holiday gift to a select few friends and partners: A black Signature Edition of the classic Razer DeathAdder mouse. The Signature Edition was limited to just 1,337 copies (1337 = leet). Now Razer has decided to release a commercial version of the mouse for everyone to get their hands on.

The regular edition of the black Razer DeathAdder has a sleek pitch-black finish but still has the same ergonomic design, five buttons and the infrared sensor with up to 3500 dpi settings. The mouse is available now to order for $59.99.

In related news Razer has announced that Ed Fries to its board of advisers. Fries is the former head of Microsoft Game Studios and is also a co-founder of Airtight Games.

Razer to offer mouse bungee for gaming PC mice

The team at Razer have released more than its fair share of different gaming PC mice over the years but this week the company announced it plans to release a product that is designed to make gaming with a mouse even better.

Razer has announced that it has hired the creator of the Mouse Bungee on its team. The Mouse Bungee is a stand with a suspension spring that's designed to keep PC mice with wires more freedom of movement without any snags or drags due to the wire. Razer's version of the Mouse Bungee is due to be released by the end of the year. So far pricing has yet to be revealed.

PC Gaming Alliance announces new members

The non-profit PC Gaming Alliance has been around for over two years now and today the group that's dedicated to both promoting and improving the PC game industry announced they have taken in three new companies as members. Two of the new member companies are hardware oriented. Corsair is best known for their PC memory products while Logitech is one of the biggest PC gaming peripheral makers.

The other new member is Arxan Technologies, a software company that offers, among other products, ways for publishers to protect their software from piracy (i.e. DRM). In addition, Razer who has been a member of the PC Gaming Alliance for some time, is now a new member of the group's Board of Directors.

The left hand version of the DeathAdder still has all the technical features of the regular version including support for up to 3500 dpi sensitivity but it has side buttons placed on the right side that can be accessed by the left hand's thumb.

Razer launches left-handed version of DeathAdder PC gaming mouse

While the folks at Razer have released a few ambidextrous designed PC gaming mice, there hasn't really been any mice designed solely for left-handed gamers. That is until today with the announcement of the Razer DeathAdder Left Handed Edition.

This new version of their previous DeathAdder has been re-designed for the comfort of left handed gamers, including side buttons placed on the right side that can be accessed by the left hand's thumb. The mouse keeps all of the technical features of the original including support for up to 3500 dpi sensitivity. The mouse is now available for sale for $59.99.

Razer DeathAdder gaming mouse gets revamped


Razer keeps announcing new products at a brisk pace but for their latest reveal they actually go back to one of their older products, the DeathAdder gaming PC mouse. The original version was released three years ago. Now The new version includes features like an improved 3G infrared sensor that improves the mouse's sensitivity to 3500 dpi.

The new DeathAdder also has a new tangle-free braided fiber cable. However that's pretty much it. The mouse still has the same right-handed ergonomic design with five programmable buttons. The new version is available for sale now via Razer's official web site for $59.99 and will be in stores late in September.

Penny Arcade Expo 08 gets its own limited edition Razer mouse

If you are heading up to Seattle to attend the 2008 edition of Penny Arcade Expo and have a few dollars that you don't have any plans on spending, you might want to check out this special limited editon version of the DeathAdder PC gaming mouse from Razer. Only 400 of these will be made and they will be sold only at PAX starting tomorrow at the Razer booth for $60. As you can see from the picture it will have the PAX 2008 logo.

Razer will also be holding a mod contest at their booth during PAX, teaming up with Modders-Inc.. According to their press release, "They were given the SilverStone TJ10 ESA case, the Razer Lachesis, the Razer Lycosa, the Razer Piranha and the Razer Destructor to mod, with the finished mod being showcased at the Razer booth. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite out of three at the Razer booth and those who voted for the winning case will have a chance to win the case. Attendees can also vote for their best modder at www.razerzone.com.
