Big Download's News Bits & Bytes - February 14

We hope all of you had a good Valentine's Day. Of course there's still the day after where some of you will realize that the person who you made your Valentine is just an artificial intelligence out to trick humanity. That happened to us last year; never again.

Railworks 2 released with 50 percent off sale; Railworks owners upgrade for free

If you enjoy the idea of playing a game where you build and control a massive rail transporation system then you likely already know about Railworks, the train simulation title from developer Railsimulator.com. The developer has been keeping its customers busy since Railworks was first released back in June 2008 with a ton of paid downloadable content for the game.

Today Railsimulator.com has released Railworks 2, a full fledged sequel to the game that adds a number of new features including a new career system, a "Cab Control" system for beginner drivers and new Steam leaderboards and achevements. The game is now available to download via Steam and owners of the first Railworks can get Railworks 2 for free. First time buys also get a good deal. From now until October 25 you can purchase the game for $19.99, a 50 percent discount.
