Sleek cars, fancy CGI, and a mostly hidden woman. This trailer for Ridge Racer Unbounded knows exactly what it is aiming for, and while it's not particularly interesting to us (we are not big car enthusiasts), those that love the fast lane of gaming will probably be interested. The lack of in-game footage and painfully obvious sex appeal does not help pique our attention, though.

The developers of Shift 2 have bragged over and over that their game is the most realistic racing game ever developed. If this trailer is an indication, the drivers that they consulted think it as well. While this trailer goes mostly into interviewing various high-profile race drivers, it also gives a good look at the physics and visuals of Shift 2. Things such as real-time telemetry (which they actually display within the trailer) and the constant shifting from real to simulated racing blows us away. The best part is that the differences are rather small. Overall, a fantastic trailer.

This is the playable demo for nail'd, the pulse pounding off-road stunt racing game with an awesome soundtrack that includes bands such as Deftones, Fear Factory, Hatebreed or Static X. The demo includes two tracks from the full game. System requirements are shown after the jump.

Want more for your buck with Shift 2? Need some more wheels to show off your sweet racing skills on? EA has got you covered with a new trailer for Shift 2. Those that order the Limited Edition will apparently receive three exclusive cars to use on the race tracks. Beyond that, there's nothing new or exciting to this trailer. It's standard racing, albeit a far more realistic kind than what Burnout shows.

This is the playable multi-language demo for Crash Time IV: The Syndicate, a racing game where the player engage in adrenaline fueled car chases through out the streets of Cologne, Germany to take down a criminal organization. The demo includes a section of the single player campaign where players take part in reckless driving, a shootout, and a blind date they'll never forget.

NOTE: The demo requires an activation code, which can only be obtained by visiting the official game site and clicking the download button.

In urban sports, there's something known as parkour: a sport (and art) where the goal is for a person to move through an uneven space as quickly and fluidly as possible. In regards to cars, this would seen impossible, but gymkhana - a time trial where a rally racer must complete a complicated course as quickly as possible - definitely bears a resemblance to the pedestrian sport. This trailer for DiRT 3 has Ken Block discuss his feelings on the sport as well as show off some of his moves on the gymkhana courses, and it's definitely cool for any racing enthusiast. Those interested in seeing some of rally racing's more complicated moves, like long drifting and 360 spins through objects, will definitely love this trailer. We know Ken Block sure loves gymkhana!

Those interested in the creative process behind videogame marketing will definitely want to take a look at this trailer, as it offers great insights into just how much goes into even a simple trailer or commercial. In this case, said commercial is the car chase for Hot Pursuit, which includes the two signature cars for the game: the Pagani and Lamborghini. It talks about the importance of choosing two specific cars to represent the game, how the commercial was shot, and the people involved. In other words, it's a trimmed down "making of" video that's very informative for those interested in the more menial side of marketing.

nail'd is coming out in about a week, and the folk over at Techland really, really want you to play it. So do, apparently, the previews. This trailer gives us both a look at the nail'd gameplay (looking as arcade-like and fun as ever) as well as some of the kind words being said about the ATV racing game. We haven't gotten our hands on it quite yet, but if it's as good as this trailer and the mentioned previews say it is, it's going to be one of the best racing games in recent memory. If not, well, it'll be one major disappointment. Still, explosions!

Those that want the utmost in research to go into their games will be pleased to watch this new developer diary for Dirt 3. Several members of the team go in-depth into their research process, including going out and actually partaking in a rally. There is also more information about the game, including how many new surfaces there are, what new locations will be in the game, and how much of the single-player will be comprised of rally racing. They also reveal their favorite rally cars as well as what official cars will be available to race in the game.

When in a race, a split-second is often the only thing between staying on the track and flipping into the walls. However, if you could freeze one of those times, you'd get the majority of this Shift 2 trailer. Announcing the latest entry in the expansive Need For Speed series, this video gives us a snapshot of the track as another car crashes and burns. It's stylish and snazzy, and brings to mind the endeavors of Criterion on the Hot Pursuit reboot. As far as a first trailer, especially a launch trailer, goes, it's definitely exciting. Now all we have to do is see what the actual game plays like!
