One of the most significant features in Guild Wars 2 will be the ability to select from five different playable races. This is a great change from the original game, which only allowed players to take human characters. Now four more races join the roster, three of which fans should be pretty familiar with: The Charr, Asura and Norn. Players got a taste of what these races are generally capable of by using them as henchmen in the current game. Not only will players be able to use these racial abilities first hand in the sequel, but they're joined by a an all-new race called the Sylvari, a mystical race of plant spirits. They will all need to combine their abilities to overcome the challenges that await them.
