Warrior Epic to launch closed beta Thursday

If you still want to enter the closed beta for the upcoming free-to-play MMO Warrior Epic, you still have time. The title from developer Possibility Space and publisher True Games will launch the closed beta this Thursday. However the publisher has announced that there are still a few spots left to fill for the test.

According to the press release, the development team has been working hard to prepare for the beta of the fantasy-themed game. A new user interface has been created and new ablities have been added to the game's various playable characters. In addition more of the game's higher level content (enemies, quests and so on) have now been placed in the game. Warrior Epic is expected to go live later this year.

New Warrior Epic screenshots show off more classes

The upcoming free-to-play fantasy MMO Warrior Epic is gearing up for a full launch later this year and this week the developer Possibility Space sent out a new batch of screenshots that show three more of the game's classes. The one pictured above is the Devotress, a warrior woman who apparently takes to looking like a Norse Valkyrie in the game.

Two more classes shown in the screenshots are the Pit Fighter and the Illusionist, each dealing with their own threats in battle. As we have reported previously, the game will have players controlling a Warrior Hall where they can recruit a number of player characters of different classes. The game will feature solo and multiplayer campaigns as well as an "adventure mode" and player-vs-player support. Warrior Epic is currently taking sign-ups for its closed beta test.

New Warrior Epic screenshots pop up

Earlier this year True Games Interactive announced their first game, the free-to-play fantasy MMO Warrior Epic. This week new in-game screenshots of the title were released, this time showing off some of the combat we can expect in the title from China-based developer Possibility Space.

We especially like the shot above which shows that head butting is one of the skills that player characters can learn in the game. As we have mentioned before the game will have players controlling a Warrior Hall where they can recruit a number of player characters of different classes. Solo and multiplayer campaigns along with PvP play will also be supported. Warrior Epic is due for release sometime in 2009.

First Warrior Epic screenshots showcase characters

A few weeks ago we first reported that publisher True Games would be bringing the free-to-play MMO Warrior Epic to the US in spring 2009. Now the publisher has released the first screenshots from the Possiblity Space-developed game, mostly showing off the characters that will be featured in the fantasy themed title.

As we mentioned in our first story, Warrior Epic will feature the player controlling a Warrior Hall where they can recruit a number of player characters of different classes. Today True Games revealed that the death of a warrior in the game is not the end for that character. That character could be revived in their hall or they could "also to be transformed into Spirits that can be bound to weapons to increase and open weapon abilities and skills, or they can be called out to inflict massive damage depending on player needs." So basically your warrior one day could become your super weapon another day.

Warrior Epic announced

New US based free-to-play MMO company True Games Interactive has announced that they will be the world wide publisher for Warrior Epic, an upcoming fantasy themed game. The title is scheduled to be launched in spring 2009 by developer China-based Possibility Space.

While there are not a lot of details yet, Warrior Epic will feature players controlling a Warrior Hall where they can recruit a number of player characters of different classes. The game will feature solo and multiplayer campaigns as well as an "adventure mode" and player-vs-player support. No screenshots have been released although some concept art (like the one above) are available.
