patch-notes posts

World of Warcraft 2.4.3 patch notes now up!

Blizzard has released the patch notes for their tiny little MMO side-project called World of Warcraft. You're probably not interested though. We hear that WoW is very niche, not very appealing to a lot of players. Some of the major changes include:
  • Riding at level 30! Quite possibly the best new change, in our humble opinion
  • Blood Elf flightmasters in two locations now have totally sweet new dragonhawks
  • Significant changes to the Rogue Cheat Death ability
  • Significant changes to non-combat pets
The full patch notes can be viewed over on WoW Insider or on Blizzard's patch notes site.

  • A major rebalancing of the Blademaster class
  • A complete PvP overhaul, including achievements, rankings, rewards, and a new CTF team gametype
  • Changes to the Shared Stash, such as a separate pane for each difficulty
  • Addition of two new trinket slots for players to add rings and such to their characters
  • An attribute respec NPC that allows players to remove points from an attribute for a fee-per-point
  • Three new skills for each class
  • A consignment house (read: auction house) where players can sell stuff to other players without direct trading

Enemy Territory patch changes revealed

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is one of those multiplayer shooters that you really have to play to understand the charm. At first glance, it's a lot like Battlefield 2 (or 2142), but when you start to reach the delicious crunchy center, you realize that it's really a game that can be compared to no other. It's also quite good.

The lovely developers at Splash Damage have revealed their planned improvements for the 1.5 patch, which is currently being funded out of their own pocket. They've added some much needed UI and customization improvements, as well as cleaning up the AI functionality and removing several exploits and bugs. Check out the full changelog at the community site.
