The Sims 3 video gets the girls together for Sex and the City

Fans of The Sims 3 and Sex and the City may be amused by this parody trailer based on the Sex and the City 2 movie commercials. The latest expansion, The Sims 3 Ambitions, released recently and introduced a number of new professions, but somehow we doubt any of them include city socialite. As an added note, since this is The Sims, shouldn't this video be called Whoo-Hoo and the City?

Freeware Friday: Merry Gear Solid 2

Welcome to Freeware Friday, a weekly column showcasing excellent games that you can play free of charge!

Two years ago, there was a particularly funny and well-made holiday game called Merry Gear Solid. It was short but sweet, and the developer decided to go the distance with the sequel. Merry Gear Solid 2 is the sequel, and it is one of the best parodies of the Metal Gear franchise we've seen yet. Hilarious and fun, it only has a few minor problems that hold it back from being even better than the games it is satirizing. It's a must play, especially during the holiday season when the nature of its absurdity is best conveyed.

The Sims 3 trailer catches Twilight fever

You can try to avoid the whirlwind or hype surrounding the release of the newest Twilight film, but you'll have a tough time doing it. Even The Sims 3 world has fallen for Twilight with this little parody video made using the game. Our question is: Where's the actual vampirism? We want to see fangs! Couldn't they borrow the animations and effects from The Sims 2 Night Life expansion?

Freeware Friday: Shut Up And Jam Gaiden

Welcome to Freeware Friday, a weekly column showcasing excellent games that you can play free of charge!

There are some games made to just be weird, hilarious, and satirical all at the same time. They are few and far between, but it's great when they show up on the gaming radar. It means that there's a new hilarious game to play, and that's always a good thing. The game this week is one of these kinds of games. It's a satire of Japanese role-playing games, internet culture, and the absurdity of sequels. For a good laugh at the expense of these different things, Barkley, Shut Up And Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the HoopZ Barkley SaGa is the best.
