What is Killspace Entertainment?

It's a developer that's apparently been in operations for a year but until now most of the general public hasn't known about it. It's Killspace Entertainment, a developer based in both Los Angeles and Calabasas, California. The company's official web site shows a weird video but nothing else. However a PDF file from the developer's agency Digital Development Management reveals the company has brought in talent that have worked at Obsidian, EALA, Pandemic, Red 5 Studios and others.

The PDF file states the developer is is working on two projects. One is an original title with a "major publisher" while the other is a licensed game. What could that second game be? The web site superannuation has found that someone at Killspace has registered the www.apocalysenowgame.com web site address. Hmmmmm......

The Saboteur PC giving ATI users problems

Looks like the PC release of The Saboteur is giving some folks problems. Specifically owners of ATI Radeon-based PC game rigs are reporting issues running the open world WWII action game from Pandemic and EA with Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.

Pandemic's official message board states that the team is aware of the issue and "are working as fast as possible to find a solution." They do have a workaround that will allow people to play the game but at a huge cost; you will have to turn off all but one of your PC's CPU cores. The post offers up exactly how to do this for your PC if you are so inclined but this is obviously a pretty drastic measure to take.

The Saboteur trailer is just getting started with the mayhem

"Inspired by a true story, The Saboteur stars Sean Devlin, a street-tough Irish race car driver trapped behind enemy lines in 1940s Nazi-occupied France. Motivated by personal revenge, Sean fights, climbs, and races through open-world Paris, sneaking into the heart of the Nazi operations and sabotaging their every move. With the help of the French Resistance, the British intelligence, an arsenal of weaponry, street smarts and brawn, players will exact revenge on those who aim to destroy Sean's life. From derailing trains and blowing up zeppelins to scaling famous Parisian landmarks and more, this action hero uses a broad range of weapons, explosives and vehicles to get the job done."

Knife a (virtual) Nazi with your Saboteur pre-order offer

It's looking like The Saboteur could be the last major PC game release of 2009 (assuming no further delays) and the game's publisher Electronic Arts wants to give folks who pre-order the WWII action game a leg up on the title's virtual Nazis. If you put your money down on the game at GameStop you will get what's pictured above.

Now don't go running to Mom that GameStop is selling knives to its customers. This is an extra in-game weapon that you will get access to in the Pandemic Studios-developed title. Yes by pre-ordering the game you will be able to use the knife to handle a "silent and swift execution maneuver" upon the Nazis who are holding Paris during the war.

Save the United States in Pandemic: Swine Flu

Pandemic 2, one of the better strategy flash games available, has been out for a year now. What's the response from the original developer? Time for a new iteration. Pandemic: Swine Flu is that (semi)-sequel, and unlike Pandemic 2, it's not about infecting populations. Rather, it's about eliminating the swine flu inside the United States. A Pandemic game where you don't play as the virus may sound strange, but this latest addition to the series is excellent, so don't overlook it!

Pandemic: Swine Flu revolves around using different operations to reduce or eliminate the swine flu across America. Operations include handing out masks, vaccinating the public, shutting down hospitals and borders, and censoring the media's reports of the flu. It would have been nice if there was a way to speed up time, but even as is, the game takes place at a good pace, and when the US starts to become more infected, you'll definitely know. You can play the game on Kongregate.

The Saboteur trailer gets its next assignment

This trailer for The Saboteur, the next big open-world action game developed by Pandemic Studios, will be featured at E3 2009. In The Saboteur, the player takes the role of Sean Devlin, a "street-tough Irish racing mechanic seeking personal redemption." Players will have to make their way through the seedy underworld of Paris, France in the 1940's while working with the French Resistance to take down the Nazi occupation.

The Saboteur comes out of the cold with new official web site

It's been a long, long time since any news has come out about Pandemic's WWII stealth action game Saboteur. The game was first revealed via an Game Informer print magazine article in 2007 but since then info about the title has been hard to come by. The game was under development before Pandemic's purchase by EA in early 2008 and ever since then.

This week Pandemic has finally launched a full web site for the game and also revealed that the title has changed slightly. Instead of just "Saboteur" they have added a "The" before it. Hmm.. Anyway, The Saboteur's web site has some new screenshots and a little more info about the open world action game set in Nazi occupied Paris. Pandemic and EA plan to release the game sometime before March 31, 2010.
