Meridian4 games on sale for 50 percent off on Steam

Canadian-based game publisher Meridian4 has had a long relationship with Valve's Steam download service. This week Steam celebrates Meridian4's fifth anniversary with a special week-long sale. In short all of the games from the publisher have had their prices cut to 50 percent their normal value.

That means huge savings for titles like the two Shadowgrounds sci-fi shooters from Frozenbyte, the two Pacific Storm WWII action titles from Buka and the sci-fi first person shooter Alpha Prime from Black Element Software. You can also get all 13 games in the Meridian4 Complete Pack for just $24.99 via Steam. The sale ends on July 6.

Meridian4 to distribute Buka games online

While PC gaming is said to be on the decline in the US, the Russian PC game market remains strong with a number of Russian based developers and publishers working on a ton of titles. Today, Canadian based game publisher Meridian4 announced that we will get a chance to check out some of these Russian based games via a new deal with Buka Entertainment.

Under the deal Meridian4 will digitally distribute a number of Buka's games across a number of online distribution site (including presumably Meridian4's own web site). There's actually quite a number of cool titles in this deal including The Stalin Subway, a first person shooter set in the Soviet Union of the 1950s and Hard Truck Apocalypse, which has you driving an 18-wheeler in a post-nuclear war setting. It gives a whole new meaning to the term "convoy."
