Gamestop to sell special version of Delta Force Xtreme 2

Novalogic's release of Delta Force Xtreme 2 earlier this year was the first new all new game from the action developer in several years. While the game is already available in both retail stores and via download, it looks like retailer GameStop will be shipping an extra special version of the game to stores later next month.

A new listing on the Gamestop site said that their special edition of the game will come with three exclusive multiplayer maps. It will also come with six months of "Gold" service on Novalogic's Novaworld multiplayer online network. We are not sure exactly how much that's worth but anything with "Gold" in the title must be good. The special edition ships to Gamestop stores on August 18.

Novalogic games added to Steam

Valve's Steam service has just added a new publisher to its already extensive line-up of companies providing its game for digital download. This time it's Novalogic, best known as the developers of the Delta Force series of shooter titles.

Novalogic has gone all out for their Steam debut as they have given Steam users access to 16 games from their catalog. That includes all of the previous released Delta Force games and the newly released budget first person shooter game Delta Force Xtreme 2. Steam has also reduced the prices of all the Novalogic games by 10 percent for the next week.

Delta Force Xtreme 2 to ship next week

It's the first all new modern military shooter game from developer/publisher Novalogic since 2004 and its shipping to stores next week. It's Delta Force Xtreme 2 and unlike the first Xtreme game (which was just a graphical remake of the original Delta Force game) this is supposed to be an all new game from the ground up.

Novalogic sent word that the game will ship to store on May 26. It wil feature 2 single player campaigns with a total of 10 missions, nine co-op missions with support for up to four players and five multiplayer modes with support for up to a whopping 150 players. There will also be a mission editor included. Delta Force Xtreme 2 will go on sale for just $29.99.

Delta Force Xtreme 2 revealed

After being in a kind of corporate coma for the past few years, developer-publisher Novalogic has apparently decided to wait up. Late last month they released a Delta Force 10th Anniversary collection of all their previous games in the military shooter franchise. They also have an all new game, Delta Force: Angel Falls, that's supposedly due out sometime this year.

However Novalogic is apparently releasing yet another new Delta Force PC game very soon. Novalogic's official web site has a banner that show a box cover for something called Delta Force Xtreme 2. The first Delta Force Xtreme game was a graphical revamp of the original Delta Force game with some new missions. There's no more info about the new game on Novalogic's site. However, according to posts on fan site NovaHQ from supposed sources in Novalogic, Delta Force Xtreme 2 will be an all new game and not a remake of a previous title in the series. We've contacted Novalogic's PR rep to try to find out more info.

Novalogic re-launches Novaworld with new Delta Force game collection

.While we still wait for Novalogic to give us more info about their next Delta Force shooter, Angel Falls, the developer sent over word that they are relaunching their Novaworld online multiplayer service. Novaworld2.com not only gets players into Novalogic-supported online games but also supports player and squad web page, video, blogs and more.

Novalogic has also launched the new Delta Force 10th Anniversary game collection this week. The $29.99 collection has all of the Delta Force branded titles (Delta Force, Delta Force 2, Delta Force Land Warrior, Delta Force Task Force Dagger, Delta Force Black Hawk Down, and Delta Force Black Hawk Down Team Sabre) in one package along with three strategy guides and a soundtrack CD. All of the games have been updated to make sure they run well on Windows XP and Vista. People who purchase the game before Feb. 28 will be able to get a 60-day VIP Gold membership in the new Novaworld community site.

More Delta Force: Angel Falls screenshots revealed

Novalogic has been teasing us with word on their next Delta Force shooter, sub-titled Angel Falls, for some time now. Earlier this month we reported on some info on the game that was leaked via a third party publisher. Now more screenshots from the game have been revealed.

Those screenshots come from a web site titled novaworld2.com, a site that's apparently owned by Novalogic and one which might be the next major version of their online multiplayer operation of the same name. The screenshots, which we have reproduced here, show off more of Angel Falls's outdoor levels and vehicles. Now if we can just get Novalogic to wake up and make the announcement of this game official....

Delta Force: Angel Falls info revealed?

Several months ago Novalogic began running a teaser on their site about Delta Force: Angel Falls, presumably the next game in their military shooter series. Novalogic hasn't revealed anything else about the game except for the title since then but a European publisher called MTR Soft may have jumped the gun with some first details about the title.

The notice on the publisher's web site claims the game is due out in July 2009 and will have the Delta Force team engage in battles in South American countries like Colombia and Venezuela.. In addition to a single player campaign there will be multiplayer modes with maps that can hold up to 200 players. There's even some PC hardware system requirements listed although since this is coming from a third party source and not from Novalogic we would suggest a grain of salt about this info. We will contact Novalogic this week to see if any of this info is legit.

Tease on new Delta Force game

It's been a while since California based developer/publisher Novalogic has released any new game products; the last game they released was the PS2-Xbox port of their military shooter Delta Force: Black Hawk Down way back in the fall of 2005 (their last original game, Joint Operations, was released even earlier in mid 2004). So we were happy to see that the company is still alive thanks to a teaser image on their main web site that seems to be a big hint that yet another Delta Force game is in the works.

The image, which shows two well armed soldiers, a Delta Force insignia in a red background and the words, "Delta Force: Angel Falls", reveals next to nothing about what the game will be about. Hopefully the words "Coming Soon" below the teaser is a promise rather than a hope for the future.
