April Fool's 2011: King Arthur II The Role Playing War Game Vietnam announced

Paradox Interactive is actually releasing Magicka Vietnam later this month. So why not a second game that mixes fantasy with the Southeast Asian conflict? Today the publisher revealed that the previously announced plans for King Arthur II have now added some Vietnam elements.

Paradox has already said on this April Fool's day that this announcement will be a "paradigm shift in the gaming industry as a whole." Indeed the publisher announced that even more of its games will get Vietnam connections such as Sword of the Stars II: Vietnam, Europa Universalis: Vietnam, Vietnam: The MMOVRGP and then finally with Vietnam: Vietnam at the end of 2011. At which point the universe will likely swallow Paradox whole from stopping everything from being labeled as Vietnam.

Steam game deals include free game with Homefront pre-order

Ahead of its usual weekend sales, the Steam game download site has a couple of special offers that were revealed today. One of them concerned pre-orders for the upcoming first person shooter Homefront. Folks who pony up their money early for the game will be able to get the 2010 released first person shooter Metro 2033 for free and immediate download. That's a game that's priced on Steam normally at $39.99. Pre-orders should also be able to play the Air Assault Drone in Homefront's multiplayer mode on day one.

Also, the 2010 released historical RTS game The King's Crusade from developer NeoCore Games is on sale on Steam until for just $9 until February 16.

King Arthur trailer brings druids to the fight

King Arthur is one of the better strategy games we've played, and its unique take on Arthurian legend is compelling. While most of the factions have been relatively normal, there are a few that do incorporate more fantastic and magical elements. The upcoming Druids DLC faction is one of these. Focusing on exploiting nature to their cause, the druids look to be a formidable force. Just watch this trailer if you doubt us. Lightning strikes, setting people on fire, and enchanted weapons seem to be the province of these druids, and that's certainly dangerous.

King Arthur II announced

Ahead of next week's big Paradox Interactive press event, the publisher has gone ahead and revealed one of its unannounced titles. It happens to be King Arthur II, the sequel to the fantasy RTS-RPG title from developer NeoCore Games.

The sequel will be a much darker game than the original with the ruler of the fantasy Britain having to deal with things like, well, what you see in the above screenshot.
