Hunted: The Demon's Forge trailer breaks away from stereotypes

We have to admit that we weren't excited for Hunted: The Demon's Forge. The crucible trailer began our turn back towards interested, and this trailer puts us all the way back into excited. While the plot seems standard enough, it's the acknowledgment that Hunted is aiming to be more about co-operative murder and mayhem than depth of plot that intrigues us. Good dungeon crawlers are few and far between, and none emulate the style of combat and visuals that Hunted seems to bring to the table.

Operation Racoon City trailer changes history

Canonically, Leon Kennedy survived the Raccoon City outbreak in Resident Evil 2 and went on to be a bodyguard working alongside the President of the United States. What if Umbrella snuffed out his life before he had a chance to rescue Ashley, though? That's what this trailer for Operation Raccoon City depicts, and it shows the various abilities and attitudes of the Umbrella soldiers present during the conflict. It's slick, shows off some impressive looking cinematics alongside in-game combat, and results in the death of Leon Kennedy. Maybe.

Section 8 Prejudice trailer fights for survival

We loved Section 8 when it originally released, so the budget-priced Section 8 Prejudice has us excited as well. For those that don't understand why, just take a look at the tons of in-game footage this trailer has. Vehicles, combat missions, excellent sci-fi designs, and beautiful landscapes. It's a quick cross section of the things the developers have explained in previous videos, which is fitting given the game's imminent release.

Red River trailer shows the joys of co-operative play

This is the kind of trailer we love to see. It's entirely composed of in-game footage depicting Red River's multiplayer, and while the editing is shaky and a little incoherent, it still has a lot of content for players to chew into. Trailers that have this much footage of actual game mechanics are a treat, and we recommend that anybody interested in the latest Operation Flashpoint title give it a look. There's tons of squad mechanics, vehicle attacks, and bleeding out to catch your attention.

Battlefield Play4Free trailer blows apart enemy vehicles

Battlefield 2 is still one of the most influential games of all time. Its progression system was copied by Call of Duty 4, and the massive battles mixed with intense close-quarters infantry combat made it an instant classic. Play4Free returns to this after the smaller, more destruction-focused style of Bad Company 2, and this trailer gives us a good glimpse into what that means. The seamless blend of pre-rendered and in-game footage is a bit impressive, and the combat looks to be just as good as ever.

Brink trailer shows itself ready to take on anything

While the last Brink trailer we saw showed us the core abilities of the various classes, this one goes into a little more depth regarding all abilities. Specifically, it presents some of the abilities you unlock by progressing through the multiplayer. With goodies like mainframe hacking tools, self-revive needles, and portable turrets, it certainly looks like it will be a blast. The more gameplay footage we see, the more we hope that it will be a worthy successor to the Enemy Territory name.

Section 8 Prejudice trailer gets awkward and hilarious

Humor which makes us feel awkward and uncomfortable is our favorite kind, and this trailer for Section 8 Prejudice has that in spades. Following a single woman as she explores the TimeGate lot and attempts to find a partner, it's strange and surreal and borderline offensive. It's also hilarious, and it gives a good look at some of the new features. Our personal favorite is the new Pulse Cannon, which s shown in-game blowing enemies around. There's a fine line between being irritating and being funny, and while this trailer toes it, it doesn't truly get annoying.

Brink trailer showcases different class roles

Brink is one of the few games that we are genuinely excited about this year, and this trailer sums up why in very simple terms: appearance customization, gun load-outs, and most importantly, the different abilities of each class. Much like Quake Wars, Brink has four classes that can each perform specific special abilities. Soldier can plant bombs, medic and heal and revive, engineer can repair and construct, and operative can disguise. It's fairly standard class stuff (it's been around since the days of Team Fortress, after all), but when mixed with all the other goodies, it comes out feeling like characters have a genuine stake in their multiplayer characters. A fantastic trailer, both for information and to get the hype meter up and going.

Homefront trailer gives a little background info

People who have Homefront get this intro at the start of their game, but for those that haven't yet purchased the latest effort from Kaos Studios, here's your chance to familiarize yourself with the backstory to the Korean invasion. There are a lot of details missing, such as how Korean reunification occurred or why Korea invaded the US, but it's something that is remotely (very, very remotely) possible. Granted, if you already own Homefront (out now!) you don't have to watch this trailer. It doesn't reveal anything new that you won't see in the game.

Crysis 2 trailer unveils multiplayer demo

If you're like us, you don't really need to see this trailer. After all, you should already be playing the multiplayer demo for Crysis 2. However, if you want a brief overview of all that you get to fool around with in the relatively large demo, this trailer has all the information you could want. With a few maps, plenty of weapons, and oodles of violence, it pretty much hits all the points one could want out of a demo.
