Razer launches new Scarab gaming PC mouse pad

Razer continues to be one of the most prolific gaming PC related companies with a constant stream of announcements and new products. This week Razer brings us a new gaming PC mouse pad, the Razer Scarab. It's a product that is definitely not a cheap marketing giveaway pad.

Razer says the surface of the Scarab pad has a "Fractal 2.0" coating on its surface. That means that this hard mat surface has a "highly responsive and uniform tracking system" that works well with both lazer and optical-based PC mice. It also has a rubber base for stability and comes with its own reinforced carrying case. Perhaps the best bullet point about the Scarab from Razer's press release (and we are not making this up) is that it gives its user "a feeling of awesomeness during usage." The $39.99 Razer Scarab should be available for sale in January.

Rude Gameware promotes grilling on its PC gaming mouse pad

It's July 5 but that also means plenty of us in the US still have the day off and part of that day might include some backyard grilling of big portions of ground beef. Mmmm ... beef. So what does that have to do with PC gaming? Well according to perhipheral maker Rude Gameware, plenty.

The company just announced its new line of Fierce Teflon and Steel PC gaming mouse pads. The pad is made mostly of steel but the company has coated the top of the pad with Dupont's Telflon material for less friction when you play Counter-Strike: Source. And if you decide to do some grilling with your mouse pad ... well, let's just say we wouldn't recommend it but it sounds cool, doesn't it? The mouse pad is now on sale for $29.99.

Razer launches new soft-mat lineup

Razer has just announced its latest lineup of gaming related accessories in the form of the Razer Goliathus soft-mat series. Goliathus is available in two flavors, one built for speed and the other for control and ship in three different sizes ranging from $14.99 to $24.99.

Co-developed by Razer techs and gaming professionals, the Goliathus brand promises to give gamers the edge in all gaming scenarios, from home all the way to professional gaming sessions, using Razer's woven fiber technology.

The pads will release later this month.
