Steam's week of deals for LucasArts published games is getting near the end. The Star Wars-themed bundle of 13 games together for just $14.99 will shut down on Sunday. However there's one more extra special sales bundle that you should also consider.

Steam has cut the prices of the two acclaimed remakes of the classic Monkey Island games by 50 percent. You can choose to get either The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition or Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge for just $4.99 each from now until Sunday. However you can save even more if you get both games in a special bundle for the price of $7.49.

While there are no new PC games that are scheduled to be released to retail stores this week there are a number of downloadable games and expansion packs that might be of interest to PC gamers that are scheduled to come out over the next seven days. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge Special Edition - LucasArts does it again with its second revamp of one of their classic adventure games. Not only do you get modern graphics, sound and voice overs but you get a commentary mode with the creators of the original game to boot.

LucasArts is about to release the Special Edition version of their classic adventure game sequel Monkey Island 2. The downloadable game will be released for the PC via Steam on July 7. But if you put down your hard earned $9.99 for the game beforehand you will be getting a nice little bonus. Pre-orders will be able to get the Special Edition version of the first Monkey Island game, released this time last year, for free.

Just a reminder, the new version of Monkey Island 2 will not only have full voice acting and a graphical revamp but also has some new features such as being able to control your character's movement directly and a commentary track with some of the game's original creators relaying their memories of making Monkey Island 2.

Often remembered as the best game in the series, the second Monkey Island game will be getting major makeover this summer with the release of Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge. The classic adventure game will be upgraded with high-definition graphics, voice acting and a remastered soundtrack but that's not all... the game will also feature a host of extras including an original art showcase and commentary recorded by the original creators Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer. This behind-the-scenes documentary video goes behind the scenes and provides a first look at the Special Edition process and what it takes to put an even Bigger Whoop into Monkey Island 2.
