Future Wars released exclusively on Impulse

Earlier this year we reported that publisher Meridian4 had secured a publishing deal with developer Headup Games to released their titles over the next few years. This week the first game under that agreement, Future Wars, has been released. It's now available exclusively via Stardock's Impulse PC game download service.

The sci-fi turn based strategy game in the vein of titles like Advance Wars also includes support for mods including an easy-to-use level editor. The Impulse service is offering five additional levels for the game for free. It's also giving folks a 20 percent discount from Future Wars' regular price until April 13.

Meridian4 to publish Greed and Gear Grinder in the US

Canadian-based publisher Meridian4 has wasted no time in announcing two new games it plans to publish via digital download in North America in 2010. Both new titles come from Headup Games who previously had their sci-fi action-adventure game Twin Sector published late in 2009.

One of the two Headup Games that Meridian4 will be publishing will be Greed, a sci-fi action-RPG (pictured above) with three different character classes to choose from, upgradable skills for each class and more. The other game is Gear Grinder, a vehicle-based action title with a truck that can be turned from racing to combat mode. There will be 45 different missions in the game along with multiplayer with support up to 8 players. There's no word on when either title will be released.

Gamersgate offers Meridian4 "super" game sale

Steam did it. So did Impulse. Now its time for GamersGate to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the launch of Canadian based game publisher Meridian4. The game download site is offering a sale of all of the games in Meridian4's library from now until August 16.

If you just want one or two games in the Merdian4 line-up, each game's price has been cut by 50 percent by GamersGate. However if you want all 40 games in the Meridian4 library it will be just like a super glup at the movies. GamersGate is offering the "Super Pack" for just $79.95. That's compared to paying $283.94 for each game seperately. Time for some pocorn.
