Rumor: Total War developer working on sports game?
It seems like a bit of a stretch for a developer of historical and sci-fi RTS games to work on a sports title but that seems to be what the Australian branch of The Creative Assembly is doing. According to a recent job listing on Gamasutra, the developer is looking to hire a gameplay programmer for a "next-gen sports title" for the PC and consoles.
There are no other details yet on what this game might be like. The Australian branch of The Creative Assembly opened in 2002 and developed Medieval II: Total War and its expansion pack. It's last game was Stormrise, the sci-fi RTS game that was a sales bomb for its publisher Sega in 2009.
