If for some reason you are still on the fence about picking up Mass Effect 2, this demo for the sci-fi RPG from developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts will likely make your decision to buy this game an easy one. The demo has the first two missions from the full game with an extra bonus mission for good measure. If you decide to buy the full game your save data from the demo can be transferred to the full version.

Along with the demo comes a new trailer, The Story So Far, that gives folks a heads up on what went on in the first Mass Effect game.

Yes, it's coming several months after the full game was released but developer BioWare announced plans to release a demo for their sci-fi RPG sequel Mass Effect 2 sometime later today. The demo will have the first two missions in the full game plus one bonus mission which publisher Electronic Arts says totals about 90 minutes worth of gameplay.

BioWare plans to release the previously announced Overlord DLC for Mass Effect 2 on Tuesday. The new mini-campaign of five levels on one planet where you have to fight off an alien AI, will be sold for 560 BioWare points (about $7).
