Mafia II Director's Cut for PC to feature The Betrayal of Jimmy

Mafia II's release last August by 2K Games got a lot of hype beforehand but the open world crime action game denied owners of the PC version a chance to get one of the game's post release DLC packs. Now that missing DLC pack, the Betrayal of Jimmy, will be included as part of a new retail release of the game, titled Mafia II: The Director's Cut.

This new re-release contains the original game, the two previously released DLC packs (Jimmy's Vendetta and Joe's Adventures) , the four pre-order "style packs" with new clothes and vehicles and The Betrayal of Jimmy which was previously an exclusive for the PS3 version of Mafia II. The Betrayal of Jimmy features lots of arcade-style city missions to accomplish. There's no word yet if previous PC owners will be able to access The Betrayal of Jimmy at some point. The Director's Cut will be released "in the coming months" for $29.95.

Report: Call of Duty Black Ops PC most pirated game of 2010

Even though PC games have gotten a new surge in popularity lately, piracy of PC game software remains a huge concern. This week the web site Torrentfreak.com reports that the single most pirated PC game of the past year is developer Treyarch's first person shooter Call of Duty Black Ops. The site claims that even though the game was released in November, the site claims that it was downloade 4,270,000 times. The report claims the data comes "from several sources, including reports from all public BitTorrent trackers."

In second place was Battlefield Bad Company 2 which the report claims was downloaded 3,960,000 times in 2010. Mafia 2, Mass Effect 2 and StarCraft II make up the rest of the top five.

Steam's third phase of its current Treasure Hunt promotion and contest has now gone live. As with the first two parts of the contest, this third chapter is giving players a chance to complete four objectives inside of two days. The big prize comes at the end of the Treasure Hunt where someone will get 100 free games of their choice on Steam.

The objectives to complete for the next two days are:

Mafia II Joe's Adventures DLC released via Steam

Mafia II was released back in late August but the development team at 2K Czech continues to support the historical crime action game with new content. Today, as previously promised, the second PC DLC mini-expansion for the game, Joe's Adventures, has been released via Steam.

The rather pricy $9.99 DLC contains an all new single player campaign for the game featuring Joe Barbaro, the best friend of Mafia II's main character Vito Scaletta. Joe's main storyline deals with him finding out the real reason Vito went to jail. It also contains a number of new quests along with access to new cars and clothing.

Mafia 2: Joe's Adventure gets crazy and dangerous

Mafia 2, despite being plagued with inconsistent design, is still receiving DLC. Joe's Adventure is the latest in the add-on campaigns for the open world title, and it's only a week away. To commemorate this, a new trailer has been released for the add-on, and it showcases some of the gameplay players can expect while walking a mile in Joe's shoes. There's nothing particularly new for the Mafia series here, but it does exhibit some great new areas and characters. We love the shootout in the restaurant and the car chase on the ice floes, in particular.

The new DLC involves the adventures of Joe, main character Vito's best friend and associate in crime.
