PAX 2009: New Lord of the Rings Online expansion announced
PAX 2009 is turning into a event where developers and publishers are announcing more games. Today, developer and PAX exhibitor Turbine announced plans to release Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood, a new downloadable but commercial expansion pack to their fantasy MMO game.
The expansion will raise the game's level cap to 65 and conclude the storyline of the game's Volume II: Mines of Moria expansion that was released last fall. The game will also add a feature called Skirmishes which will have "endless action in repeatable, randomized instances". Other gameplay features and improvements will be put into the expansion which does not yet have a price.
