Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 on NASCAR ride tonight

NASCAR racer Joey Logano has been driving the number 20 car in the Nationwide series with GameStop as its main sponsor for some time. Each week the car gets a new paint job promoting an upcoming or recent game release (we especially enjoyed the BioShock 2 design). Tonight Logano races in the Dollar General 300 in Chicago with his latest GameStop car design.'

This week its promoting Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4, the most recent of the Lego games from developer Traveller's Tales. Somehow we don't think that when J.K. Rowling created Harry, Hogwarts or the rest of that universe she would have imagined a Lego video game based on her books, much less seeing it plastered all over an American race car.

OnLive gives update on service; adds Lego Harry Potter later tonight

The OnLive streaming PC game service has only been available to the public for 10 days now but the company has given some more info about the launch on its official blog site. According to the statement from its CEO Steve Perlman the OnLive servers have been "running 24/7 since launch, with games being played every day, around the clock, from every corner of the 48 States, despite the fact we've accommodated far more members at this stage than ever anticipated." Perlman did not state how many people have subscribed and Big Download was also unable to get a specific number from their PR rep late last week.

Perlman has also said the service has encountered some small bugs since the launch although he was not more specific than that. He also states, " ... while we have been installing data center capacity as quickly as we can, it looks like it will be about a week until we've balanced capacity across all US Internet regions"

Perlman also said that OnLive has scored its first day-and-date game release with Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4. The full version of the game will be made available for purchase on the OnLive service at 12:01 am PST tonight (that's 3:01 am Eastern time). A contest has also been announced that will net the first person who completes the full game on the OnLive service an iPad.

After this week is over there's a pretty major dry spell in terms of major new PC game releases until mid August with the big exception of StarCraft II which is due on July 27.

All Points Bulletin (APB): First announced five years ago, developer Realtime Worlds finally ships this first person shooter MMO this week, combing a persistant urban action game with lots of customization options for your character, car and even music.
